Shimmer Polish: Eva~

Today I have a great holiday color...and I gotta say I was pleasantly suprised...I think this color is one of those colors like Chanel Malice where at first I was like meh....but after I put it on I was like O___O duuuuuuude this is so pretty!! haha... anyways...back a couple weeks ago, I learned about Shimmer polish. The Shimmer philosiphy is really sweet:

"My polishes are named after my wonderful friends and family. Each and every name has an important significance to me. Each shade of Shimmer is inspired by that person, from favorite colors, things that are reminiscent of that person, and even personal requests from these great ladies. Each and everyone of my Shimmers have shaped and influenced me to become who I am today. In a way, this is my tribute and gratitude towards having so many amazing people in my life."

So I contacted Shimmer polish to see if she'd like to meet up with me when she took a trip over to my rock :) but alas it wasnt meant to be (maybe next time ;] ) but anyways she was super nice and sent me 2 polishes to make up for it! Today I have Eva which I'd call a blackened cherry/ burgundy color...its so pretty the pictures really don't do it justice...

I love how in some lights its brighter but in other lights the "darker" side really comes out...oh and did I mention...there's tiny silver glitter in it tooo! It's actually a jelly-ish base with black/red glitters and tiny silver glitters too.

See? It's totally awesome for the holidays!

In differeny lights the burgundy looks different :)

3 coats for all my nails....and top coat to smooth it and make it even more shiny..

This is 2 coats...as you can see the base is nice and jelly/squishy :)

Shimmer Polishes can be purshased via: Shimmer's  Site , Shimmer's Etsy Shop or even at Overallbeauty. Shimmers retail for 12$ but the awesome part is that for $15 Shimmer can also create CUSTOM polish for you! yep you heard me...thats so cool isn't it...It's just like naming your own star hahah....

P.S When the sun finally decides to come up again I'll swatch the other Shimmer I got...its one that I love love love too!

*Products were sent to me for my honest review*

Expecto Patronum & Toxic Avenger!

I gotta say...I luuuuurrve indies... and one of my favoritest (<--my own word ;] hehe) indie has got to be Dollish Polish...not only is her customer service fab, her colors are pretty dang awesome too :) Today I used two of my favorites, Expecto Patronum and Toxic Avenger.
These colors are so freakin cooooool...

This is so magical dontcha think? I decided to switch it up a bit by making my pinky and thumb a different color from the rest of my fingers...

Some ah-mazing bottle shots for you guys...arent they great??

This is two coats of each....

Macro bottle shot of Expecto...see the flakie? its hard to get it on camera but trust me...its there...
I really like the white and the blue color...so girly yet still not too feminine...

The magic that is Toxic Avenger....its duochrome...and holo...its so darn amazing...

I'll just let the pictures do the talking.... <3

Voila!~ So..What's one of your favoritest indies??

P.S. So lately I've been in a financial bind...and i need to thin out my stash...so if you follow me on facebook you might have seen that I'm thinking of maybe selling mystery boxes of polish for 25$ shipped in the US and maybe international? idk yet.....there will be 5 polishes of various brands(OPI, Revlon, Essie, Zoya, Loreal, etc) and at least 1 indie.... and im thinking of including one of my Lynnderella's in there too...so how im thinking of doing it is I'll offer 5 bags then once 5 people commit to buy I'll assign them numbers in the order they contacted me...then I'll go online to randomly choose the person that'll have that lynn included in their bag...how does that sound? if I get enough people then I'll set this ball moving. The Lynnderella I'm selling is Forget You Not. So lemme know if you would be interested...Pin It

World Diabetes Day

November is diabetes awareness month and the 14 is actually World Diabetes Day. So along with a group of other lovely ladies, a bunch of us bloggers and nail polish aficionados got together and did blue manis to raise awareness about this illness.
I used Cult Nails Time Traveler as undies for Deborah lippmann's Across the Universe and my accent nails I used Essie- Coat Azure as undies for Lynnderella's Ghost of a Chance...then I matted the whole thing with Essie's Matte about you...

So first step is 2 coats of Time Traveler and Coat Azure on the nails... *only 1 coat is shown in this picture*

Then put a coat of Deborah Lippmann's Across the Universe on the Time Traveler nails (you can put more then one coat for more depth if you want)

some bottle shots of the lovely Ghost of a Chance...
I added one coat of Ghost of A chance to my Coat azure nails...

This is what the result was after I put on my top coat of Seche Vite...

but I felt like it was lacking a certain something I couldn't put my finger on...so I slapped on a coat of Essie's Matte about you and wow... I just love mattified glitters...

Macro shots of my nails....totally love the matte..

 Voila~
